National Freestyle Scooter Competition Singapore

Since June 2018, Freestyle Scootering has been registered as a official sports under Rollersports Federation Singapore. With the support of ActiveSG, SportsSG, Singapore RollerSports Federation (SRF) and various global scooter brands, we will be holding Singapore’s First National Freestyle Scooter Competition. This competition is a 1-day event to be held at the Xtreme SkatePark, ECP on the 4th of August 2018 with the focus of giving recognition to freestyle scooter riders from Singapore, South East Asia and other countries.

About the Venue

Xtreme SkatePark @ East Coast Park

Set against a backdrop of lush greenery, beach and sea views the Xtreme SkatePark @ East Coast Park is a joint development by the National Parks Board (NParks) and the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS). Xtreme SkatePark is the first skate park in Singapore which has been built to international competition standards. It promises to be an exciting venue for extreme sports enthusiasts, not only in Singapore but the region.

The entire skate park occupies an area of 1.4 ha (the size of about 2.5 football fields) and comprises a combo bowl, a vertical bowl and a streetcourse covering 0.4 ha. Constructing the skate park cost $7.6 million, which is co-shared by NParks and MCYS. It is catered to both beginners and professionals, who will be able to find features that suit their skill levels.


About the Organisers

OddStash was established in November 2017 and currently runs a WebStore (https://www.oddstash.com) selling complete scooters, equipments and parts. OddStash uses part of its earnings to continuously engage and grow the freestyle scootering community in Singapore and South East Asia. To date, OddStash has made inroads into the scootering community in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines.

KarLaTech Pte. Ltd. is a regional distributor and supplier of kids tricycles, scooters and freestyle scooters. Currently, KarLaTech is the exclusive distributor for the following freestyle scooter brands; MaddGear (MGP), Envy-Blunt, Ethic DTC, Longway Scooters, Root Industries and UrbanArtt.

Shahfiq Slick is Singapore’s only sponsored freestyle scooter rider by an international brand, Root Industries.

Singapore Rollersports Federation (SRF) formed in April 1998 was previously known as the Inline Sports and Skating Association of Singapore (InSSAS).

Singapore Rollersports Federation is the national governing body of roller sports in Singapore, where roller sports refer to any and all forms of skating, except Ice-Skating.  The Federation is supported by Singapore Sports Council (SSC).

Sports Singapore
